We are now accepting short submissions for a new weekly feature on the site, called “Weird Tales.”
Demons or no demons, middle school is a pretty freaky place. That’s why, every week, we want to share real stories from real girls who have been there, done that, and lived to tell the tale. That’s what “Weird Tales” is all about.
If you have a funny anecdote from grades 6 through 8, send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries should be no more than a page in length, be well written, and contain only words that you’d say to your grandmother (the nice one, who doesn’t curse). Feel free to include a short bio and a link to your website in the body of your email. This is a great opportunity for young writers to get a little online exposure.
Oh, and one more thing: we eventually want to expand the feature to podcasts, videos—the sky’s the limit! If you would like your entry to be used in future multimedia productions, we may get back to you to verify your permission to use it in another form before using your work. We just might even ask if you would record yourself reading it. Because that would be fun.
